Shimmering Waters
Collingwood Inukshuk
As I sat here today looking out on the 18 below sunny day my mind drifted of to the pleasant warm days of last summer. Lying on the beach or or at the end of the day watching the sun set across the shimmering waters while sitting in the park at the waters edge. This photo was taken In Collingwood last summer on one of our mini vacations.

That is so gorgeous. I would be dreaming about that too.... :)
Do you happen to know what the stacking rocks mean? Beautiful!
Kathy...
Warm and happy thoughts. That's what we need to keep thinking because it's FREEZING outside!
Jami - the sun set just made such a beautiful backdrop for it ... almost a halo effect around the head.
Sally - they are originally an Inuit design made to resemble a man and they were used for communication or guidance. There is a very good article here
Richard - indeed it is.
Looks great. Used to have the same type view and thoughts while living in Erie.
Kathy, that is a most beautiful and unique picture. It belongs in a magazine of great shots!
Kathy - A very impressive photographic composition of the inukshuk.
Beautiful photo, Kathy! I can just imagine sitting there staring at that view until the sun was gone completely down...
Jo
David - There are some scenes in life that just resonate with the soul
Rick - Thank you ... I don't know about a magazine but it will certainly be used in our postcard promotion
Marc - thank you I am still learning ... some of my best shots are just because I happened to be in the right place at the right time ...
Jo - very relaxing ... very peaceful ... away from the maddening crowds ...
